This two-day course aims to provide an introductory to intermediate use of medical ultrasound for the diagnostic imaging of small animals. It is designed to present an overview of ultrasound imaging techniques and scanning applications including biopsy techniques. Veterinary surgeons or technicians will find the course particularly useful when they are about to embark on setting up an ultrasound service.
Objectives:
- Outline the basic physical principles of ultrasound production.
- Discuss the fundamental aspects of instrumentation.
- Provide and overview of scanning applications.
- Creating and interpreting ultrasound images.
